route 66 ketchup

This is from the road trip – the world's largest ketchup bottle.  It is actually a water tower.  The company is no longer in business, but the giant ketchup bottle remains.

We managed to figure out how to get here without a map.  I kept saying to B, how hard could it be to find a giant ketchup bottle?

I am glad we stopped.  We also found another custard place.  Once again the flavor I ordered wasn't the most solid and dripped all over the place.  I have since decided that custard on a cone, especially outside, is probably not the best idea.

I really wanted to see this as the Illinois Tourism Board used this in their campaign.  I actually ended up getting a poster of the 300-pound cow made of butter and sent the one of the ketchup bottle to a friend who works at Heinz.
