more from the netflix queue

So remember those three geeky guys that Mulder would sometimes check in with on the X-files? Well, it seems they got to spin off their own show, which unfortunately was cancelled after the second episode aired.

But here is the interesting thing. The pilot aired in spring of 2001, months before the attacks of 9/11, and yet in the pilot part of the plot involves such a similar scenario it is beyond eerie.

Not to give too much away, but they got most of the major details right. They actually show a plane (almost) colliding with one of the Twin Towers. They even got the fact that Boston and D.C. played in the plot. It is such a weird thing to watch, given what we now know.

It of course makes you wonder how they came up with the idea. And how if they were able to conceive of it, why no one else could? These guys are just writers on a TV show.

If you enjoyed The X-Files, you may want to check it out. The other episodes are interesting. Lots of comic relief.
